All of the coaches are out of town so tomorrow y’all get:SASSQUATCH SUNDAY!
Adam Sass volunteered his time to be present in the morning from 10am-12pm for OPEN GYM! There is NO official strength class tomorrow. That block of time is entirely open gym.
Sass has his level one and did some coaching at his previous gym. I trust him, and I appreciate him offering his time on the weekend, especially on Father’s Day! Thanks! -

Schedule Announcements
Some schedule announcements:
This afternoon there IS a 415pm class but the 515pm, 615pm, and Open Gym are CANCELLED this evening. We are meeting at Taps Sports Bar (By Best Buy) at 545 to have a going away party/gym meet and greet. The main purpose of the evening will be to give everyone that wants to wish Nell farewell a chance to do so in a large group setting, but I don’t want that to be deterrent to those who have not met Nell. SO, like I said initially I don’t care if you have been coming to the gym for 1 year or 1 day, stop by, meet some new people, get your grub on, and enjoy the evening! I got a veggie tray that will feed 30 people, but the bar has a full menu (they have pretty good burgers) and any food and drink orders/tabs are your responsibility. This SATURDAY there is a 930 and 1030 class but 1130 will be OPEN GYM. Jenna Presley will be coaching!
This SUNDAY all of the coaches will be out of town so I am contemplating cancelling Sundays With Shep and just making it Open gym from 10-12 or perhaps just cancel it all together for Father’s Day. Stay tuned for updates on that!
Let me know if you have any questions, I hope to see y’all tonight at Taps!

Another bittersweet announcement
Most of you may have known that Nell Campbell has been working relentlessly to complete her PhD. Through many deadlines and tiresome weeks of work, she accomplished that feat a few weeks ago. With that accomplishment we knew she would also be moving on to go back east to be with her husband, Tom. Nell is another athlete that has contributed incredibly to the success of my gym. She was with me literally from the beginning of my time as a volunteer/part time coach at the old Become CrossFit. That was back at the end of 2011/beginning of 2012. She has been with me since then, and it will be especially hard to see her go. Her last day will be Tuesday the 23rd, and we will be sure to send her off with a proper going away WOD. But first, I scheduled to have a gym-wide gathering at Taps Sports Bar THIS FRIDAY the 19th at 545pm to wish her well as a group. The 415 class on Friday will be the only afternoon class. The 515pm, 615pm, and Open Gym will be cancelled. I reserved the lower level that we had for our Christmas party last year. I bought a veggie tray that will feed 30 people, but other entrees and drinks will be your responsibility. Everyone is invited, even if you haven’t had the chance to meet Nell, still come and make some new acquaintances. Put it on your calendar, do it NOW!

Area Details and Parking
Here is the map of the area for tomorrow. The address is 1606 South Lemay avenue, but that is the address for the entire complex. We are located in the complex that is on the south east corner of Lemay and Prospect. Your best landmark is the 7-11 that is on the corner of Lemay and Prospect. If you go to the 7-11 your best landmark is the Sunsation Tanning storefront sign. We are the unit tucked back in the corner. The areas in on the map in GREEN are all good places to park. The areas in YELLOW you can use as a LAST RESORT, but I am trying to be a good neighbor and not hog all of the parking for the businesses around me. The areas in RED I would not advise parking in, as those are high traffic areas, and people might get upset! Notice the are in green that is to the east of us, that is the overflow parking dirt lot that is in between us and the Fort Collins Club. You may park in the dirt lot but DO NOT park in the Fort Collins Club parking lot. The blue box is our gym (WHCF) feel free to contact me if you need more help finding the place. I can be reached at 970-691-2309.
