Happy Friday, Grasshoppas!

Last night Dave Castro announced CrossFit Open Workout 16.2!

If you missed it, you can review everything you need to know here:
http://games.crossfit.com/workouts/the-open
This is one with a similar cut off format that we have seen in previous years with the Fran ladder, and the repeat of the overhead squat and chest to bar pull up workouts.
The way this workout is formatted with the cut off times leaves great potential for the heats to move MUCH faster this weekend!
You can expect the same type of format as last weekend with a rolling wave of “classes”.
So if you want to go earlier…come earlier between 9-10am…if you want to go mid-morning, come around 10-1030am, if you want to go later, come around 11-1130am. I will plan on going again in the last heat, hopefully around 12-1230pm.
We will OFFICIALLY start the action at 9am. I already made a heat sign up on the whiteboard. It will be first come first serve, and you can sign up as early as this afternoon (Friday) if you want to be in an earlier heat.

NOTE: If your heat is up, and you aren’t here, you will be assigned to a later heat to make room for someone else that is here and ready to go!

JUDGES:
There are a few moving parts in this workout that judges will need to be aware of, and ready to take note of (mainly the use of tie breaker times in the workout). This is also the first time in an open workout where it is allowed to have someone else change your weights for you! You and your judge can coordinate this, or if people want to come and be designated pit crews of weight changing for athletes, that would be super legit! Unfortunately, we probably won’t have room for the use of multiple bars, so this is actually a very important job!

Again, I anticipate the flow to move a bit faster than last weekend. The longest part will most likely be transitioning from heat to heat, and getting everyone’s bars and weights set up.
Any and all help is welcomed and EXTREMELY encouraged in order to help make things run smoothly! I appreciate all of the support I have received thus far, and I know that I couldn’t make it happen without you all!

As always, friends, family, and spectators are always welcome to these events!

See you all tomorrow!

P.P.S.
As always, if you can’t make it to Saturday, I will be available during open gym on Sunday from 9am-11am, and all day on Monday up until 6pm to help you get it done! Just let me know what you need and we will make it happen!
