TURKEY CHALLENGE INFO:
Alright gang as you may know we have several athletes competing this weekend in the annual Turkey Challenge competition at MBS CrossFit in Broomfield. This event has built a reputation as being one of the premier events in the area and has grown bigger every year in the way of participants, sponsors, and spectators.
For those competing:
Athlete check in goes on Friday from 4:30 – 7:00 PM and again on Saturday from 6:30 – 8:00 AM. Don’t forget to bring your waiver. The waivers were emailed individually, and I can print some out at the gym to be filled out in advance.
Upon checking in, be prepared to have your athlete number written on your right arm and left calf, this will help speed up the process of checking in.
I already have a full ride as far as people I am transporting in the morning of, but if anyone else wants to arrange car pooling to and from the event, please do so in the comments below ::cough cough Jayde Angelo cough cough::: The plan for those traveling with me, or for those wishing to caravan down in the morning, we will be meeting in the WILD parking lot at 615am, and rolling out no later than 630am…again please post in the comments if you would like to follow me down.
The first heat starts at 8am, and the final heat is at 3:58, so there is plenty of opportunity to come out to observe the action. The weather is expected to be in the low 50s and high 40s tomorrow, but some of the action will take place outside. So for all athletes and spectators please be sure to wear and bring appropriate amounts of clothing layers, blankets, and anything else that will assist in keeping warm.
If you have any other questions or comments about the weekend, please do not hesitate to comment or message me!
ALL CLASSES ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY ARE CANCELLED THIS WEEKEND!!!….So come out and support your fellow athletes and friends who are competing. As I mentioned before, this is a great competition to not only participate in, but also to observe. MBS has an incredible gym, and getting the opportunity to see an event of this caliber is something I highly recommend to all of my athletes!
