Thursday’s WOD:
Happy Birthday Trista!
Wednesday’s WOD:
Happy Birthday Corson Cramer
Corson’s birthday is today, and instead of a B-day WOD we are doing a tribute WOD that he asked for! It is in memory of Kassilina Luellajo Schroeder:
“Kassi Schroeder was the owner of Lat 45 CrossFit in Salmon, Idaho, mother to two young daughters and wife of David Schroeder – a respected member of the Invictus online community. Kassi was diagnosed with AML (a type of leukemia) on October 18, 2013 and passed to Heaven September 27, 2014, at just 27 years old. For 11 months she endured endless, pain, nausea, exams, biopsies, scans, extremely toxic chemo treatment, 2 bone marrow transplants, and 8 months confined within the walls of a hospital cancer ward far from home and her beloved daughters. Although she suffered tremendously, her strength, courage, character, faith, beauty and love endured to the end. Unknown to anyone but herself, weeks before her passing, she created a family photo, and on it she placed the words, ”Life is Beautiful”, a message to the loved ones she leaves behind.”

Dear McNasties:
It is getting to be that time of year where it gets a little chilly in the early morning as well as in the late evening classes. With the change in temperature we can expect to see a rise in the amount of germies….that’s right…germies…nasty little buggers that just wanna ruin your day. I cannot stress how important it is to take care of yourself especially during this time of year. It may soon be time to start wearing warming layers to the gym, and ensuring that you have dry layers to put on when you leave the gym. It is also important to consider personal hygiene…wash your hands, cover your mouth when coughing and sneezing, and ALWAYS, make sure and do a thorough wipe down of your equipment post workout. (Or just bring me some bacon and I will wipe it down for you) In all seriousness though, take care of yourselves…especially if you do catch a bug and consider whether or not it will be wise to come and work out. The article below describes in detail some things to consider, but to summarize…check your throat, cover your moufs, and wipe down yo shizz. Thanks!
